Lincolns On Lincolns On Lincolns

December 16, 2011 By Mike B

It definitely looks like a so-bad-it’s-good project, and the “Tim Burton presents” part helps a little, but hopefully it’s more than just a clever idea. I’d love to see Abraham Lincoln chopping down vampires with his axe, and maybe it can end with an edgy Night of the Living Dead twist at the end.

Yes, the poster looks a little emo, but Lincoln did live through a very rough time. We’ve got Abraham Lincoln (“tall guy, long reach. Skinny guys fight til’ they’re burger“), vampires to be killed, and Timur Bekmambetov directing, who also directed Night Watch and Wanted, so what more could you ask for!

Take that Daniel Day…

Wait, never mind. Is Daniel Day Lewis good or is he good? I wonder what Lewis would have done as preparation if he were playing the vampire-hunting Lincoln.  Anyways, they should make a joint sequel where both Lincolns have a duel.
